Almost all of Finland is now covered in snow, and many disc golfers have likely put their discs into winter storage.
The most enthusiastic players move to indoor halls to hone their skills, and of course, there are active club members and volunteers across the country who keep the courses playable for those who aren’t afraid of snow and frost. Many clubs have held their autumn meetings, and new boards have taken on the responsibility of promoting our wonderful sport. Although the start of the new season still feels far away, it’s a good time to consider acquiring club clothing for the upcoming season.
As in sports club activities in general, more and more disc golf clubs want to stand out and create a sense of unity by wearing uniform club outfits. Fuzzy Eagle, a domestic company specializing in disc golf clothing, is a reliable clothing partner for clubs, and many clubs have opted for our high-quality and stylish, individually designed outfits. The latest addition to the “Fuzzy team” is Porvoon Frisbeegolfseura (https://porvoonfrisbeegolfseura.fi), whose chairman Nico Lindfors we had a quick interview with about our collaboration. So, let’s hear from Nico about the club and the cooperation with Fuzzy Eagle.
“Porvoo Disc Golf Club was founded in 2018. The club represents goal-oriented and athletic club activities and is open to everyone. The club actively operates on both courses in the Porvoo area, Hornhattula and Virvik, where weekly competitions and other competitive and recreational activities are organized. The club wants to promote the growth of the sport and make it accessible to everyone interested in the Porvoo area,” says Lindfors about the club.
Fuzzy Eagle designed a clothing collection for the club based on the logo, colors, and your preferences. How do you think the design process went?
“I think the design process was perfect. The base and details were well considered, and our wishes were listened to. The club wanted a new base color and to stand out from the crowd, and we wanted to highlight which club we represent.”
How has the cooperation with Fuzzy Eagle been?
“Very well. I think it was easy to cooperate, and the final result was exactly what we wanted. They have been actively involved from the beginning of the project and have been easy to approach.”
Who would you recommend Fuzzy Eagle’s design service to?
“To all small clubs, associations, and even ‘league’ teams of friends.”
Finally, what greetings would you like to send to other disc golf clubs?
“Club activities always require a few people to voluntarily do a lot of work for the club in their own time. Don’t let the club’s clothing be extra work for you; trust that job to Fuzzy Eagle.”
Thanks to Nico, and we wish the Porvoo area a pleasant winter playing season!
